The Maine Patent Program will present a seminar on how to patent your invention. The seminar will address what types of inventions are subject to patent protection, the practical steps to obtain a patent, and how one can perform searches on their own invention. This seminar fulfills the prerequisite to recieve patent services from the Maine Patent Program.

What steps can make data easier to find? How does privacy law affect the world of cloud computing and social media?

- Lawyers specializing in: business or corporate law, information security and privacy law, litigation involving e-discovery, and intellectual property law
- Businesses that collect, store, maintain and mine large quantities of personal information; routinely transmit information out of state and in global commerce; and develop software tools to manage information
